COLD

Part I

When the patterns of the galaxies,
The stars and the constellations
Bend towards a new direction
It’s time to get ready for a
Cold ride.

On the days past the solstice,
When the sun tends to die early,
These are the signals for the
Cold nights.

The river of solace
That enjoyed your embrace,
Now looks up to you with a
Cold eye.

When the maples fell like rain drops,
And the trees formed a tower of twigs,
You stood wondering at the
Cold sight.

As frost flew out of our mouth,
Snow settled on our tongues,
We danced under the nights lit by
Cold fire.

The branches of those dried trees
Warped into strings that let out waltzes
To the winter winds creating a
Cold tune.

Part II

The haze and daze of the sun,
Blurry days on the reign,
and the compass needles stood perplexed
Paddling me close to the
Cold storm.

Winds sheared past my ears,
Like a voice that had been ignored for years,
Reminding of two inseparable souls,
that had been split by a
Cold wall.

The midnight glow
Illuminated by your halo,
My heart felt calmer than a storm,
For this day you broke the
Cold silence.

There are million circumstances,
Leading to grim consequences,
We just dive into the pain and
Break the bars of the
Cold cell

The cold winters disappear
From the warmth of a smile on our lips
